Since 1 July 2016, the town of Barth has levied a health resort tax all year round. All persons staying in Barth who are not local residents are liable to pay the tax. Persons staying in the town for less than two hours are not liable to pay the tax.
The spa tax obligation begins on the day of arrival and ends on the day of departure. The day of arrival and the day of departure count as one day. So if you rent our holiday flat, we are obliged to collect the tax.
From 01 May to 30 September: 1,20 Euro per person and day
From 01 October to 30 April: 1,05 Euro per person and day
You will receive a spa card from us in the name of the person liable for the spa tax. This entitles the holder to use the facilities made available to the public and to attend events, unless separate fees are charged. The cards must be carried and presented on request.
We are obliged to pay the spa tax to the city!
